What to do now
1. You must COLLECT the advertising that you will be looking at. Bring in several women's magazines for us to look at.
2. Think about primary research - interviews with women about how they feel about their bodies and about the adverts/images available in magazines. You'll need to think very carefully about the best methods to do this research.

Your first thoughts
Advertising
Your ideas are very broad at the moment and need focus. You need to think about one specific area of advertising, and then you need to decide what you want to investigate. How about, for example, looking at beauty products and exploring whether or not the advertising attempts to make women insecure about their looks etc, and if this is successful? This would lead nicely on from your work on magazines.
I don’t have any similar essays to show you but I do think this would be a good idea for your study.
